First edit of sound track

Due to not having access to a drum kit till thursday i started by creating a simple beat using a sample kit which i found on the internet. After my band rehearsal i would keep the original beat but replace them sample sound with sounds of my own.  my Intention was to create a Hip-hop style of kind of beat experimenting with off beat kick drums and different time signatures. 

The beat is in two different time signatures, 1/8 and 1/16, after listening to the likes of Little India i really liked combing two different time signatures in one beat, it makes the beat sound more hip hop. The snare drum is very traditional and comes in on the 2 and 4, however the kick drum really adds another layer to the beat, i followed no really format apart from just putting the kick drum in where i thought it needed it. To me the kick drum makes the beat sound quite dramatic fitting in with the whole DJ shadow aspect. 

I added a reverb to every track to make the sound sound realistic and could change the way the sounds sounded as the kick drum and snare sounded very familiar, adding reverb makes adds a bit of life in to the beat.
