I reached a 2:30 minutes in my sound track and found myself reaping the same two beats over and over again but using different transition between each beat. i new the sound track was lacking something but wasn't quite sure what after talking to everyone else on my team they seemed to have the same problem that it was very good but got rather boring.
This time i went back to the drawing boards and started to create a completely different beat to what we had heard before. I took inspiration from dance music and DJ shadow once again by using a a technique called sampling. i took the first not from different free archive songs and started to just put them together. The beat was dramatic and would work really well in the middle part of the documentary.
After putting the beat into the film sound track it really didn't work the beats where just two different, however the synth sound work really really well. i simple but a couple of bass drum in and added a band EQ to the synth sound. The beat really complement the sound track but also added a new layer to the film.
