Tutorial

How tutorial with Lee was very helpful, as we had a rough edit to show him and was quite excited to see what he thought about it. We had some concerns about the narrative and if it made sense that we also wanted to discuss with him.

We started by showing Lee and Neil, another tutor who was also in the room, the final edit and a rough version of the sound design.it was really helpful to get feedback from Neil as he hadn’t seen the film before and didn’t know any of the theme or concepts. He gave us some really helpful ideas about how to improve the edit by getting rid of certain shots and also holding the shots of the face for longer. It was great to see that he understood the film as this was something we where all worried about as we had to cut a lot of the footage.  We then discussed the plans for the sound design and about bring the outside sounds in and exploring the idea of headspace.

The tutorial was really reassuring and we all came away feeling quite positive about the film and how we could improve it.
